Having a Health Check-up Bangkok International Hospital

bangkok hospital health checkup

As long as we are feeling healthy we see little need to go to the doctor, however, yearly check-ups can be very beneficial and sometimes life saving. Yearly check-ups help to detect minor problems before they become major problems. At Bangkok Hospital we have a full range of standard check-up packages as well as tailor making health check-ups to your needs.

The following guidelines are to assist you in gaining the most from your check-up.

* Please do not eat or drink for at least 8 hours before taking any tests as this can effect the results (a small amount of water is acceptable)

Selecting the right check-up package :

We want you to select the package option which best suits your needs and is most relevant to your health (please see overleaf for standard packages)

  • The packages are divided into age and sex groups with additional options
  • Each package has a fixed price, unless you include extra checks
  • You can select the package by yourself or consult with the doctor for advice – please inform our staff if you would like to visit the doctor first.

Your check-up :

  • Firstly you will be asked to fill out a form about your lifestyle, medical history and family history
  • The nurse will then check your height, weight and sight.
  • You will then be given some pyjamas to change into and a container for your urine sample.
  • Please change your clothes and keep your belongings in the locker provided.
  • Please place your urine sample container in the basket located outside the bathroom.
  • Our nurse will now guide you through the program until all tests are done.
  • Usually your blood will be taken first as these results take the longest to develop.
  • Most check-up results are received within an hour after finishing,
  • however some checks can take up to 3 hours.
  • Once your results have been processed, you will receive a booklet from the check-up department analysing all your test results.
  • You should then visit the doctor for the final diagnosis and overview of your check -up test results.

Payment : Please ensure that you pay for your health check-up package before leaving the hospital. Payment can be made at any of the cashier counters located around the hospital. Please have your appointment slip or hospital number for reference.
