Brief description:

Heart failure is a life-threatening condition in which the heart can no longer pump enough blood to the rest of body. Symptoms of CHF include shortness of breath, cough, fatigue, palpitation, leg edema, decreased urine output etc. Heart failure is almost always chronic, although it can sometimes develop suddenly. This condition may affect the right side, the left side, or both sides of the heart. Heart failure is caused by hypertension, coronary heart disease, valvular diseases, cardiomyopathy, lung disease etc.

Patients with symptoms of heart disease. Most of them are over 40 years of age; male more than female. Many of the patients have diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or chronic lung disease.
