Patients with suspected blocked coronary blood vessels. Most are over 40 years of age; male more than female. Many of the patients have diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol.
Key issues:
- Selection of patients with right indications since conventional CAG is better and offers opportunity for PTCA in the same setting
- Can do on patients with known allergy to certain dyes, sea fish or drugs
- Minimum risk or complication
- Expert interpretation of CT Angiogram results
