Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting, referred to as CABG, is performed to bypass the blockage or obstruction of the coronary arteries; one of the commonly known heart disease.

Heart disease is recognized as one of the top causes of death in Thailand. According to the statistics from the Ministry of Public Health, approximately 2 Thai people die every hour as a result of heart disease.

How to get in this package

  1. Not over 60 years of age
  2. No chronic renal failure of which creatinine level is above 2 mg/dl
  3. The contractility of pumping chamber is better than 40% (normal 75%)
  4. No chronic obstructive pulmonary disease using inhaler or history of using inhaler
  5. No insulin dependent diabetes
  6. No history of using anticoagulant and aspirin within 7 days before operation
  7. Hematocrit > 38%
  8. Body weight < 90 kg.
  9. No stroke symptom within 21 days before admission
  10. No acute symptom of heart disease (Acute MI)
  11. No blockage in the left main coronary artery
  12. No history of previous heart surgery
  13. No Intra Aortic Balloon Pump required
  14. No infection
  15. Cash or credit card payment
  16. Approval by heart surgeon from Bangkok Heart Hospital

The package includes of the following fee:

  1. Operating room, CCU for 2 nights, standard single room for 5 nights (including nursing fee, meals, room rate, and room service) totally 7 nights, starting from day of surgery.
  2. Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Cardiac Rehabilitations.
  3. Cross-matched blood preparation prior to the operation

The package excludes of the following fee:

  1. Pre-operative study (i.e. Cardiac Catheterization, other diagnosis)
  2. Pre-operative room and service expenses. Post-operative expenses incur in the case of requiring additional days to recuperate.
  3. Take home medicine, medical supplies
  4. Special medicine such as oral anti-diabetic drugs, post-operative hemoglucose and lab for glucose test
  5. Miscellaneous expenses i.e. additional food and beverage
  6. Special medical equipment (if necessary)
