Bangkok Hospital Endoscopy Center

Endoscopy is a medical procedure in which a physician examines the interior of a hollow vessel or organ using a special camera-like device called an endoscope. An endoscope is a small, flexible tube with a light and a lens on the end used to look into various part of the body for diagnostic purposes. When used in conjunction with other equipment, it can also be used to perform a variety of interventional procedures. When a video is attached and displayed on a monitor, a physician can take tissue from the body or perform a variety of other invasive procedures using miniaturized equipment.

The Bangkok Endoscopy Center at Bangkok Hospital has a dedicated endoscopy suite equipped with the latest equipment. Our board-certified physicians at the Endoscopy Center have many years of experience and are proficient in a range of endoscopy procedures. Endoscopes and miniaturized equipment are used to treat cancers, stop life-threatening bleeding, and perform other procedures.

Interventional endoscopy provides a safe, effective alternative to more invasive diagnostic techniques and/or surgery for several types of conditions. Recovery is quicker, complications are few, and patients often go home the same day of the procedure. Both in-patient and out-patient services are available.
