The Bangkok Heart Hospital is built from the success of the Bangkok Heart Institute which was established in 1989. The Bangkok Heart Hospital is the first private Heart Hospital in Thailand. The Bangkok Heart Hospital has the largest number of full time cardiologists who specialize in state-of the-art angioplasty or Percutaneous Intervention (PCI) for the treatment of angina pectoris or chest pain and acute myocardial infarction or heart attack. PTCA for patients with heart attack, if performed early enough by experienced operator has been proven to have benefit over the treatment in such patients with medication alone.

The Bangkok Heart Hospital performs open heart surgery by using new technological precedures like "off pump" surgery. This procedure is being done to the beating heart and without the heart-lung machine. Off pump surgery avoids complications when the heart-lung machine is utilized. This technique also reduces the recuperation time and the hospital stay.

The Bangkok Heart Hospital has treated more than 40,000 cardiac outpatients and has done more than 1,100 heart surgeries to date. Futhermore, the Catheterization Lab. has performed more than 5,000 cardio angiogram procedures and 2,000 PCI to date.
